Not sure; we have not changed our practices and have not had any other complaints about the wax. We use Oxalic acid and Apivar to treat for mites.
Odor Pure Beeswax Blocks - 10 & 20 lbs.
I purchased a few batches of beeswax in 2025 and every batch had a weird chemical odor. I am a beekeeper of 100 hives myself and have purchased a lot of beeswax from mann lake over the years and it's never ever had this odor. Do you know what is causing this? What essential oils or miticides are you using. How is the wax rendered? Does 2026 beeswax have the same issue?
