Great question! That really depends on your personal preference. Many people like to have wildflower honey produced near them for health benefits such as allergy support. Our raw wildflower honey is made from wildflowers in New York and Massachusetts. We also have other state-specific wildflower options like Vermont wildflower, Louisiana, and New York wildflower. If the region is not important to you, then the flavor differences are below:
Wildflower: The flowers used in our wildflower honey are members of the aster family, the primary source of this honey’s goldenrod finish. The resulting raw wildflower honey is extra-light amber in color, with a smooth, creamy taste and texture.
Vermont: Similar to wildflower, but even lighter in color with more floral notes.
Louisiana: This is a creamed, spreadable honey and we use a non-heat process to make it our creamiest honey. The flavor comes from tallow tree flowers at our Louisiana farm in Jennings, Louisiana, as well as privet in early spring, buckwheat vine, blue vervain, and aster bringing together a more complex flavor than our other wildflower honeys.
New York: Similar to wildflower. Made from basswood trees, goldenrod, and aster flowers. A little darker in color and more robust flavor.
