We do feed our bees when they sufficient food is not supplied to them in the enviorment. Bees do not make honey year round typically they make 1 or maybe 2 larger honey crops that would last about a month or two. Other than that the envoirment hopefully provides enough for the bees to survive. Sometimes we have to step in and provide a source of food to the bees. This food in most cases is sugar water. Just like Cattle ranchers provide hay to their cattle at times like winter. We provide feed to our livestock when they need it to survive and thrive.
